I’m fine - these birds are known to be aggressive during nesting season. It felt its little feet on my head, but it just took one warning swoop and then left me alone.

Can’t really blame it, it’s just protecting its home and family!

So I overslept, got attacked by a bird, and then our hot water tank started leaking and flooded the laundry room.

I decided to make some hot chocolate to cheer myself up.

Burned the hell outta my hand.

I think tomorrow I will just stay in bed.

I did that making peanut brittle and still have the scar on my arm.

Good news: the workers who are replacing my water heater have arrived.

We’re going with an electric on-demand (tankless) system, and with this, we’ll be able to get completely off of natural gas! It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while, so I’m happy about that.

Bad news: they were missing something they needed, so they need to come back tomorrow to finish the job.

I have been told I will have hot water sometime tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed.
