Almost -2°C overnight and yet the start of next week is going to hit the 31°C. Woolly jumpers and sun hat, t shirt and shorts. Woolly socks and sandals. Yep that's Australia. Screenshot_20251014_061613_Weatherzone.jpgScreenshot_20251014_061646_Weatherzone.jpg

Enjoy your break, Windigo - sounds like fun!

When we lived in Minnesota, we had all our windows replaced in our house, about a dozen. It was scheduled for the dead of winter, and Minnesota is bitterly cold (think Norway), and I was not looking forward to them coming out and taking all day to remove and replace windows, because I knew the house would be freezing.

I needn’t have worried. They came out with a crack team of six or eight workmen, and they attacked the windows all at once, old ones out, new ones in, and I don’t think they were there for more than a couple of hours, and I never really noticed much of a temp difference in the house except where they were actually working.
Wow, that was fast! I also HATE these kinds of disturbances. My husband is a gem for letting me go shopping and relaxing today instead! ❤️He sure is getting a nice massage tonight.

I thought these guys working for us were fast because they did three windows and our front door yesterday. They'll be gone by thursday though!
But obviously yours were superheros TastyReuben , that's incredible!

Everyone knows I'm not exactly a tech whiz – sometimes even just using apps, fixing and doing extra things on my website, downloading documents on my phone, can be too stressful.

But today, all by myself, I fixed an issue on my website and changed my domain (thus big stuff, people!), and everything went smoothly! I kept calm, I focused, and my MacBook keys were singing.
Now I am feeling like a mix between a hacker :cool:and a Silicon Valley project manager

That’s great 😁
I can break tech just by looking at it.
I wish I had a pound for every time an exasperated IT support person huffs in and then says Oh it’s never done that before 😂
My sons think I should offer my services for beta testing 😁

I think the customer support team is competing to see who can avoid replying to me
And you know the irony? My brother is a project manager for Apple.
I am quite sure he's ashamed of me

LOL I know how you feel.
My eldest has a BSc in computing, he is quite bewildered by how good I am at making programmes do things no-one has ever seen before 😂
But he does acknowledge I’m not actually doing anything wrong, it just happens, they call it Rah’s magic 😝

People underestimate us, there is real genius here

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a new laptop ... YAY!!! This old tug is over 9 years old ...
Now, I've got to figure out how to transfer all of my data over... I think I'm just going to take them to my "Geeky Boys" to do it for me and pay them for it, seeing as I saved $500 ordering my new device directly from HP.

My laptop is old too, but I only use it for travel. I'll probably upgrade soon though. It's damn slow.

My laptop keeps crashing or extremely slow.
When ever Norton does it's Smart Scan, it says that I have 16 drivers that are out of date and are causing this to happen, so I give up!
I've already taken it to my Geeky Boys four times at a minimum of $100 bench time each and every time... I've just about paid for a new device by now!

Yes I'd say so! I got rid of both Norton and McAfee.
