Please don't get me started on these EV's either ....... or cars that drive and park themselves ..... I can't believe that people can be so stupid as to rely on a damn computer chip (that is hackable) to keep them safe. Oh well, maybe if enough people die as a result someone (with a brain) will ban them altogether so everyone can be safe rather than a few who just want to be "so called fashionable" ... :rolleyes:

Once apon a time they (who ever they are) claimed that a Volvo was the "safest car in the world to drive" Therefore, anyone who drove one must have been a cwap driver :)

I went out and bought a brand new car when the mandate was on for EV for 2035. Not only that the EV prices are very outrageous.

I wasn’t thinking of that, but one of my daughters had a car that was emerging in water(because of LA water department not fixing things), out of all the cars in the parking garage, her car was the only one that made out because it’s CE. But still the car died or had trouble later after it’s fixed, so I had to give her my car. No female should be driving in LA area with a trouble car like that, it can die in the wrong and dangerous area.
 
Just a note to say that the situation is pretty tense here. Lots of unidentified "military" types patrolling the streets . We're safe and sound indoors.
No political comments please - just to let you all know we're OK.
Now where are those bananas to make some bread...

what is more worrying is that the system it runs on is not encrypted at all, canbus. It is a doddle to hack with several free tools out there and even a test version of a specific vehicle to play with.
