The worst meal you ever cooked

What was the worst meal you ever cooked?

I'm usually quite capable in the kitchen so II thought a moussaka would be easy enough to do. It certainly seemed that way, the sauce was fine and the meat filling tasted good. So I really don't know what happened whilst it was cooking in the oven to make it taste so awful!

The dish was an insult to the Greek nation! I have never attempted to make it since.

What about you? What's the most unsuccessful dish you've ever made and did you eventually manage to get it right?

Many, many years ago, before I knew what I was doing in the kitchen. I decided to "cook" for my then boyfriend. So I bought some chicken breasts and decided I'd make us a chicked caesar salad. As you all may know, they only thing I had to do was cook the chicken. I thought this recipe would be fail proof. Long story short, the chicken was really undercooked and burnt on the outside. Major fail. We ordered pizza, and he thought the whole ordeal was "cute".
