Tinned baked beans

Heinz do sell baked beans here in the US, and my understanding (like JAS_OH1 mentioned) is the formulation is a bit different compared to the UK Heinz beans. We can get those as well, a specialty stores - having had them here (for nostalgic reasons) and in the UK, to my US tastebuds, they’re incredibly…bland - not sweet, not salty, not tomatoey…just like unseasoned beans in a thin, watery sauce.

Heinz beans here just aren’t that popular - I think if you asked someone from the US to name all the Heinz products they know, it’d be awhile before they mentioned beans, and if you asked them all the bean brands they know, you’d probably never hear Heinz - Heinz is seen as a condiment company here, and mainly ketchup, chili sauce, and Heinz 57 sauce.

My guess, without checking, is that Bush’s Baked Beans are the best-selling brand here, and they come in a seemingly endless number of varieties - Original, Zero Sugar, Homestyle, Onion, Vegetarian, Country Style, Honey Sweet, Bourbon & Brown Sugar, Hot Honey, Sweet Heat, and on and on and on. They’re like M&M candies…a “new” variety every week, it seems.
Don't forget bacon, and hickory.

Personally, I LOVE B&M beans better than Bush's.
