Impressive! Was the butter in a dish? In its wrapper? Just curious...
The full story is in the Easter 2025 thread, but it was in a dish. I’d put out a cup of butter (so not a small amount) in a bowl, on the counter to soften to room temperature so I could use it in baking. I had even mentioned it to husband (although more in a casual “I am waiting for the butter to warm up” way, rather than telling him explicitly “hey dumbass, don’t put the butter in the dishwasher”). He was trying to be helpful, and loaded the dishwasher, somehow managing to not notice the full cup of butter in the bowl. He then ran the dishwasher.

He is NEVER living it down!

I’m giggling a lot at these fortunes, mostly because my friends and I like to play a very juvenile game where we add “in bed” to the end of every fortune.
I'm totally stealing that. Even if I'm just thinking it. Would be great for scriptures and reverent statements too, to make them blasphemous and irrereverant. How about, "Jesus loves you..."

I just learned that for every 500' increase in elevation the boiling point of water decreases by about 1°F. I know when I lived in 'Vegas water boiled at 208°F and it's about 2053' at the sign in North Las Vegas, I just never put it together.
