Travel Plans 2025

It also means I don't have to pack sweaters, boots, scarves, socks, hats, ear muffs and gloves.
Maybe if you were going to Australia in June...

Atlanta does get chilly in winter but you wouldn't need ear muffins or boots. Come to think of it, I don't own any ear muffs...never thought about buying them.

I've started to look at our budget for our month-long stay back home and MAN! The price of food over there is insane!
There are many items that I will not be able to get so we'll need to improvise, but no problem.

As MLB Spring Training winds down, DH and I have started to think about the possibility of going to Florida for next year in Clearwater Florida.
This has been on DH's Bucket List for as long as he can remember... we've been to the Cactus League Spring Training many times here in Arizona, now let's go to the Grapefruit League.
DH: I don't think we could make the drive across the Country again
Moi: Who we white man? I could drive it!
DH: Yeah, but that's alot
Moi: What say you if we flew to Florida?
DH: Hmmm ... I hadn't thought about that. We rarely fly anymore... hmmmmmmm
Moi: Well, think about it, `cuz we should probably look at making some sort of reservations soon, before the snow birds from up North descend and ice us out!

I was looking at a VRBO say for two weeks, but they're all sold out already!
*harrumph*

First time going on a Cruise for me later on in the year! Just need to get travel insurance and a suitcase sorted out. Oh and I suppose I should locate my passport to make sure it in date too...
Where will the cruise be taking you?

I left Las Vegas NV on a Monday at 9:30 AM and was pulling into Rome GA at 12:30 PM the following Friday. Mind you I was driving with a destroyed hip so I could only manage 5 or 6 hours a day but it wasn't a bad drive. Pippi was a wreck until day 3 when she figured out we were going to be in the truck that long everyday.

I'm only good for 5-6 hours on the road at a time without the destroyed hip. There was a time I could drive 12 hours or more in one day but that ship sailed 30 years ago, LOL.

Norway! Pretty much the same summer weather as the UK summer so I have all the right clothing so nothing to worry about other than my passport etc. - looking forward to it :)
Hurtigruten? We were lucky enough to go on it twice back in 2011 before the oldest ferry retired (MS Lofoten). It was amazing. Whilst we would loved to have cycled that section of Norway, we lived tussling the ferry up the coast as well. We've also done a couple of other short cruises to Norway over the years, as well as nearly moving to Stavanger back in about 2007.

I work in education so can only get a cruise during the school holidays so have to pick the cheapest which is P&O (Ionis I think the ship is called).

Departing from Southampton, the itinerary includes Stavanger, Olden, Innvikfjorden (cruise-by), Hellesylt, Geirangerfjord (cruise-by), Haugesund, and a few days at sea.

Booked an excursion that involves going on a train and another which is a walk to a glacier if I remember correctly :)
