What would you consider your twelve favorite vegetables?

For me, I'd list the following, which I placed alphabetically since actual ranking is a bit difficult in places. Oh, and also, a couple veggies are technically fruits, but seem to be lumped in as vegetables in many if not most places. I've not included veggies that are most associated with being herbs or spices.

  • Artichoke
  • Asparagus
  • Black Beans
  • Bok Choy (especially "baby")
  • Cabbage (any variety)
  • Okra
  • Onions (any variety)
  • Snow Peas
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Swiss Chard
  • Tomatoes (especially heirloom / local-raised and flavorful)
  • Watercress
(I could also squeak in a couple more but will refrain.)
