Well, here’s a little window into MrsT’s psyche…she’s calling it
“the jade pussycat,” which is also the title of a ‘70’s pornographic film.

She thinks that’s hilarious!
Earlier I was thinking Jade was a pretty name, lol. Wasn't thinking about the kitty part.

I've seen that!!! I'm not remiss on counter culture films... 😲

Dude, Barriehie is my age. We were barely teenagers in the 1970s, LOL. That would have been...weird.
There’s a story behind that - when we were first dating, MrsT’s highly inappropriate sister told me to take her to the drive-in for a date, so I did…not knowing the drive-in showed only adult films, and that night…it was The Jade Pussycat.

I remember it well because they got down to business almost immediately, and being a country boy who’d never seen that type of behavior except in the pasture, I took her right out of there and right back home, said my goodbyes, and left.

That was a Saturday, and on Sundays, her entire family gathered for the whole day, and I was expected to be there, so out I went, and when I got there, everyone was there, and her nasty sister loudly asked, “How’d you like the movie last night, Rue?! Hahahahahaha!!!”

Then the whole story came out, and to top it all off, when all the hubbub died down, FutureMrsT said, “I don’t know why we left, I woulda watched it.”

That was the shit they put me through on a daily basis for two years. Nowadays, she’ll still bring it up, like when we’re picking movies, she’ll say, “Oh, do they have ‘The Jade Pussycat?’ I hear that’s pretty good.”

Mr SSOAP and my sons are laughing their head off at that one TR 😂

Isn't that a logical thing? I mean, stuck on the I 71 in a snowstorm at 11pm, no chance of a rescue - a glass or two of Sauvignon Blanc solves the situation.  :drink::drink:
All I know is, it went like this:

“I found this in the glovebox of the Hon-”
“Put that in the Gherkin*.”

*After torturing me with The Jade Pussycat, her serious new name for the car is The Gherkin.

This is sort of funny (long pointless story to follow):

You know how you’ll be in an area/city you’re not familiar with, and you’ll go into a chain store, like a Target or a Tesco, and once you’re inside, everything is familiar again, because one location of a chain store is more or less like the next, and you sort of forget you’re out of your usual home base?

Then, you step back outside and suddenly, for a split second, you’re disoriented, because the car park is different, and the surrounding area is different, and it’s a little jarring, and you have to gather your wits a bit and think, “Ok…where the hell did I park?” - this is especially noticeable for me, because I’m a creature of habit and at my usual shops at home, I always park in roughly the same place, so I always know where my car is.

Well, that was my experience yesterday - I’d left the car dealership, 90 minutes drive from my area, and somewhere I’d never been before buying this new car, and on the way back, I spotted an ALDI, so I pulled in to grab a few things.

ALDI is ALDI is ALDI, so I’d gotten into that comfort zone, then walked outside and was completely disoriented and had no idea where I’d parked.

Then I remembered the same joke that the dealership staff and all my family made - “With a color like that, you’ll never lose it in a parking lot.”

Closed my eyes, cleared my mind, opened them, and looked straight ahead;

Easy to spot, down the line of cars on the right side.
