It's windfall time again. I'm trying out some new apple recipes this year (Including some others have posted here). This one is based on a recipe from Revis Foodography
This is a nice accompaniment to a curry, especially spiced, roasted chicken or fish, or some naan.
EDIT: I typed this up completely wrongly the first time! Here is the actual recipe:
Fry the mustard seeds in the hot oil so they start to pop.
Turn off heat.
Add spices and mix.
Add apples and stir to coat with oil mixture.
Pour on vinegar.
Leave in the hot pan to cool.

- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 cup cooking apple (julienne)
- Salt - 1/2 tsp (adjust as needed)
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 12 dried curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp fenugreek powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
