Water

I think it's about 6 a.m. there?

I drink a lot of tea, so that's boiled water.
Mostly boiled water fro drinking as well.
But, the water is fine to drink. It's an enormous amount that comes past so everything nasty is thoroughly diluted (and currently no heavy metals or nasty chemicals in the water).
No intention to sink a borehole.

Well water (unfiltered) for everything except drinking, our drinking water is bought bottled water and drunk as is. That being said, I only drink water in coffee :)

Tap water here comes from natural springs, it's clean and reliable.

But I need to drink 2.5 litres a day due to my lack of a colon, so I drink a lot of water and I prefer sparkling water so I have loads of that at home. I do buy that at the store. I drink it without flavorings.

I just like the sensation of sparkling water.

Drinking only that amount leaves me dehydrated and by doctor telling me to drink more. 4L a day here minimum.

Wow, that's a lot. 4 is usually considered dangerous here, are you sure about the conversion? I drink 1 liter more than the recommended 1.5 liters by our government.

Yep, I'm sure it's 4L. I've always needed much more. I tried dropping to 3L and my Dr didn't like one of my blood test results (liver function), so told me I needed to go back to drinking more, ironically that means i end up needed my High BP needs again, so i always know in on the right track. I swear excessively. I always have done, needing specialist antiperspirants.

It's 2L recommended in the UK. Not sure about Australia, but there's different volumes for those working outside during the heat of the day etc. Most building works and roadworks start at 7am and finish by 3pm in summer because of the heat.

Just looked it up and guidelines are men 2½L women 2.1L normally without taking outdoors or weather into account. My usual glass is 500ml and our mugs are 330ml, I'll easily have 4-5 of those each, each day even in winter. Now it's much closer to 6-7 of each and I'll often wake thirsty during the night as well. I have 1l by the bed, but usually only drink 750ml at night.

When we were cycling, I could easily get through twice that in a day!

I guess I am not fully realising what it's like to live in the climate you're in ☺️ I guess I would need more there too! But of course our climate is very different.

Even in the UK i was drinking 3l a day minimum. I always have done because of the sweating issues.

In the UK I drink tap water and don’t filter it any further. It’s the water I grew up drinking so to me it’s tastes like water should. The water quality reports on the south west of England are ok.

When travelling about I carry a Peak Series ‘Lifestraw’ which is a collapsible water bottle containing a mechanical filter. It removes 99.999% of all pathogens. I use this more than I ever dreamt I would and on the one occasion I didn’t I suffered the most awful GI distress I swore I’d never trust unknown water supplies again!

Here in Spain a lot of the water tastes awful. The majority of Spanish people buy bottled water because the flavour (and often the colour) of the water is not good.
I bought a ‘Zero’ water filter (the most expensive and comprehensive 5 stage jug filter you can buy) and the water quality monitor will be showing that even filtered it’s bad within just a few days. The filters are between £15-20 a pop so bottled water it is!
Thats a pita because water is bulky and heavy, carrying enough of it on a motorcycle is not my favourite thing.

Due to intensive farming there’s also the pesticide levels in Spanish water to consider. In some areas it often breaches safety limits and it’s not safe to drink, to the extent that in some places they will tanker drinking water in 😔
