What’s going on in your garden (2026)?

My cucumber plants are not happy.
Maybe it is still too hot. I'm going to give them some micronutrients today to see if that helps (brown leaf edges, looks like boron deficiency).
On the other hand, yard long beans are finally sprouting :)
Your temps don't look that high, it gets hotter than that here and mine do fine. It's really bright though, your UV index is screamin'. Can you shade them a bit?

Pretty much every day since Christmas

I have been online and ordered a green garden waste bin from our local council, a lot of garden waste to get rid of and we can now be fined if we put into our normal waste bin.

We had 3 different big waste bins at my dad's place
One green one for garden stuff, but dad had 2 as he borrowed the neighbour's
One for plastic, cardboard etc
One for other stuff
Glass had to be brought to the glass containers that you can find at all supermarkets.
Looking for some help from Windigo as it's been a while since I have been back.

I got a big plot here so no issue with garden rubbish

Somewhere, we were talking about pruning fruit trees. These are my pruned trees.

These are the unpruned trees.

There are 2 unpruned pear trees in this photo.
And 2 unpruned apple trees in the bottom photo.

The unmanaged trees we get nothing from, either because we can't reach it, or because they get eaten by wild birds first.

These are the 2 plums and 1 apricot tree. I have just this season agreed to take on managing them. The apricot i have been tending to discretely for years (middle). But the right hand plum has had it sadly.
