What’s going on in your garden (2026)?

I thought my Buena Mulata sprouts were off but being all purple seems to be what they are! I'm really jazzed about these chili plants!!!

I'll plant out a couple of my cucumbers this afternoon, so they will have the night to recover.
Unless it's cloudy weather, then they go in earlier.
I'm going to keep 2 plants going in my tub

My seedlings are all moving right along. I had 2 chili plant seeds that didn't appear to germinate so I've planted 2 more.

I didn't weigh them, but that is a 3L pyrex bowl. that should be tea sorted. they are already on the stove stewing down.

I've just raided the veg plot, and the fig tree that is netted over.

There were also raspberries - huge ones, but they never made it far enough to get a photograph of.

They are and the birds agree.

This batch will be turned into fig molasses/syrup. But 6 or so will be saved for eating fresh.

Two types of Thyme Planted (Thymus Faustini and Thymus Lady D). Creeping Thyme and Lemon Thyme respectively.
New Rosemary ready to be planted out.

Figs!!! We've got 4 trees here and agree with the birds. The raccoons like them too!

so do my chooks - and if they are not low enough to peck at, we get bouncing chooks, and I am sure they spend more energy jumping up to peck at the fig than they gain from eating it.

I am also looking at a new variety, heritage that I may purchase. But need to keep costs down this month what with everything going on.
