Oh dear I feel another egg thread coming on
My Pa was talking about eggs the other day and said “you probably already know this but..”
And yes I did know it but I explained I belong to a food forum, we seem to spend a lot of time talking about eggs, that I know a ridiculous amount about eggs now, including how they like to cook them in different countries

To keep it on topic I've got a timer device when I cook my eggs irregardless of the egg cooking principles we've discussed prior.

I've done it with and without vinegar and there's is a smidgeon, you have to be looking for it, bit of difference in the egg white. If I didn't know to look I'd have never noticed. I mostly use ACV with the mother so given as long as that takes to make I just leave the vinegar out. If you must a bit of lemon juice would do the same little thing.

I do miss my cast iron pans but I'm over it except for the one I used for cooking steaks.

Very appealing.
It makes me think of those recipes you read and they say “wrap in a large banana leaf, or you can use clingfilm” then you look at the beautiful photo and imagine it without the lovely rustic leaf used as a serving dish and instead wrapped in clingfilm (saran wrap) on a normal plate and think nope!

My prep bowls (glasses) arrived, they look like they’ll hold two eggs nicely ready for plopping in to poach and I’ll be able to easily put all the spices in one glass
Hopefully the shape will mean they won’t end up stuck together and the ease of buying replacements will mean I won’t get quite so hacked off if one goes for a burton.
They stack in the corner of the cupboard well, so far so good
