My Samsung refrigerator has been reliable for more than a decade. I did break one of the plastic door shelves. Samsung's price for a replacement was over $100. I found one on Amazon for $20. Parts prices are definitely driven by greed.

Agreed. GE wants $119 for a replacement drawer and Amazon is around $60.

I've never had a new car, that's a good way to toss money when you leave the lot...

I got a "new" vehicle for Valentine's Day. It's a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy. It only had 11k miles on it (getting close to 12k now). I absolutely love it!
