I'm wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Again. Not going anywhere.

Are you alright?I had to change trousers because mine had gardening evidence in them and I'm off to hospital this afternoon.
I have asked that my Addison's Disease be investigated. Under stress I go hypokalemic not hyperkalemic as I should go, plus I need to take 4 potassium tablets a day just to keep my potassium levels in the normal range. Are you alright?
Sending positive thoughts your way and into the universe.I have asked that my Addison's Disease be investigated. Under stress I go hypokalemic not hyperkalemic as I should go, plus I need to take 4 potassium tablets a day just to keep my potassium levels in the normal range.
It caused big issues several years ago when an anaesthetist decided i didn't know the difference between hypo and hyper and ignored me. The HDU ward were not ready for a patient whose potassium levels were close to fatally low (1.7). In fact they thought the lab was having a joke with them and rang up to get the correct result (couple of days before Christmas). I had no idea what was going on, not being conscious. The hdu staff were honest with me. Needless to say I spent longer in hospital than planned.
Since then I've had 2 flare ups needing treatment, both of which resulted in extended stays, both needing me to be administered IV potassium which is the exact opposite of what's expected with Addison's Disease.
There's a rarer form of an already rare disease that causes potassium to drop. Or it could be something else completely. Who knows.
I just don't function well without hydrocortisone and the test needs me not to take my meds. It's also needed me to change my BP meds as well but luckily that stable more or less.
