What are you wearing today (2025)?

I bought Mrs. GH two David Yurman rings that she fell in love with while on vacation recently.

She also tried on a Marco Bicego necklace that was breathtaking (this stock pic is terrible), but that is a big whiskey purchase. I kicked it immediately onto my make it happen list for her.

Lucky lady and beautiful rings, I can see why you’d fall in love with those!

Not my best pic (mainly because I’m in it…), but today’s the first day in a long time where the temp barely nudged up to 60F/15C, so I used that as an opportunity to break out the first of the Autumn-Winter wear:

Lovely warm sleeveless sweater perfect for standing up against the obvious breeze.

Waitaminute…does that sweater look familiar to anyone?…

Your other hobbies (2025- )

That’s right! After years of admiring SatNavSaysStraightOn’s skill with the needle and yarn (hey…that’s a good pub name…The Needle & Yarn…), she graciously agreed to create something totally unique for me, we worked out terms, decided on fit, picked out colors, endured a slight mailing hiccup, and the result is this beautiful, warm, durable one-of-a-kind piece of what I’m thinking of as wearable art that beats anything shop-made by a long chalk, that’s for sure. It’s brilliant!

Thanks, SatNav!

Not wearing today, but wearing soon because the weather changed and that means examining if last years uniform is still ok or needs replacing, it’s battered and needs replacing.

So new winter uniform, should be here shortly, for the outside world a couple of dresses, palazzo pants, a scarf, bag and a cotton velvet coat all of the same pattern. I like to be able to easily layer up or down when I’m out or when I go away it means one outfit can do all the different weather or occasions you might encounter. Plus my temperature control centre has always been absolutely rubbish!

I usually order two of the same thing and then I can wear one and wash one, means I get out of the door at speed without thinking about what to wear and I get full use out of whatever I’ve bought.

I better look like the models or I’ll be wanting a refund 😂

Lover the big pleat in the back of the dress

Love what they lined the velvet with in this kimono coat

It’s odd how you get stuck in a certain mindset without even realising it. I’ve fancied something new for a while, saw these a very long time ago but wouldn’t buy them because they’re expensive. But I have a lot of pocket money that’s accumulated because my self imposed shopping rules.

Today whilst browsing the knockdown bargain sale section looking for something there I thought What am I doing? I’ve already seen what I really want and I’m a grown bl**dy woman, there’s no reason I shouldn’t have what I’d really enjoy!
So I sucked it up and spent my pocket money. Things is I know I won’t regret it at all so why try and talk myself out of buying what I really like?!!

OMG I love it!

Edit I love you in it!

I am back in Italy for almost two months now and I have already gained almost four kilos.. I really need to go to the gym 😂
I also really need to go to the gym, not because I know how many kilos Ive gained because I never weigh myself but because I have chunked up considerably. However I’ve decided to eat the pie and have a nice time instead.
Just don’t tell any health professional I said that 😂

I also will be soon wearing new housework gear (that’s not so la-di-dah) again two of the same thing. Huge bright yellow corduroy dress shirts (reduced from £75 each to £19 cos I do still like a bargain) to go with some new crocks and socks. I’m not sure if it’s loony enough so I’m thinking maybe a bright blue necklace or a turban or something to go with 😂

Housework clothes for in the house only. Imagine the looks if I went to the supermarket in this 😂

All these socks are odd so no matching up needed!

That’s quite the stylish winter uniform, especially considering mine looks something like this:

This is an actual photograph of me in January 2019, preparing for my bicycle commute to work. The screenshot I have of my weather app that day says it was -20 degrees C, -30 with windchill. I miss riding on days like that.
