What cloth wise, do you use?

I do washcloths like that, on the faucet, and they dry but they only get used for a day then they're rotated into the wash.

Here in the US we have sponges with a soft side and a scrub side, we have "Scotch Brite" scrub pads, and more. I'm sure you have similar stuff. It depends on what I'm cleaning as to what I use. You do have a say if you buy some things to try. They aren't expensive. It's hard to say what's going to work for you.

I hope that cloth in your photo gets washed and sanitized periodically.

I use version of this sold at Walmart. Looks the same and works the same.

Edited to add that sometimes I'll go every other day on washing the cloth (I use that to wipe down the counters).

WaterPixie, cleaning cloths and sponges can and will harbor bacteria. Food particles get lodged in and multiply. I have one of these sponge holder/soap dispensers and I put rubbing alcohol in the reservoir with the dish soap. It also helps cut grease.

I've read that you can put your dishcloth in the microwave and heat it up to > 160F at the end of the day to help with germ control. I've done it daily, it never smelled.

Some people don't change out the kitchen hand-drying towels often enough and I've seen people use the same towel to dry dishes as they do their hands. That's a strict no-no in my house. I broke my DH of that quickly early on in our relationship.

We dry our cotton dish cloth over the tap in the same manner. In summer, I will go a week without washing it, but no longer. It will also see a dip in bleach during that time. In winter because it does not dry as easily, it will go 3 or 4 days, before it is hung up to dry over the hot water heater, before finding its way into the washing machine and it will be washed with whatever goes in next.

I personally will not use microfibre cloths because of the plastic they shed

I hang damp dish rags and tea towels over the faucet, over a drying rack that unrolls over the sink, or sometimes on the cabinet handles themselves.

I throw them in the laundry room when they're dirty; which could be after one use or several days depending on how nasty they get. The same for sponges. We have an entire kitchen drawer with nothing but dish rags and tea towels, and we rotate through them, since they definitely need to be washed regularly.
