What did you cook, eat or drink today (August 2018)?

Btw, he absolutely LOVES a proper chip/French fry, but he eats it like no other.

He quite delicately cracks open the fried "shell" along its length, enjoying the soft, meaty spud inside, discarding the spent shel to the floor of his cage.

Ad a bird, you need two feet and a beak for such precision.

I had hot pot today but I shall retain the images for the September thread.

[Edit: I haven't actually "had it" yet. It's currently in the oven]

last night, liver and crispy bacon at the Wayford Bridge Inn.

"New" potatoes are not available here except in tins. I've tried D'Arcy which were just about OK. I thought that I'd try a different one. They're only a quid so it will not be the end of the world if I have to bin them.

I've thought of a use for them (possibly good, possibly not). Balti potatoes to accompany a curry. I would normally "steam" fresh potatoes for about 10 minutes but I guess only a couple of minutes will suffice for the tinned.
