What did you cook/eat today (February 2018)?

Turmeric potato, tomato and spinach curry with mung bean dhal and brown rice.

It's our DD's big 40 today. Wish we could be with her. Stuffed mirliton with a shrimp and crab butter cream sauce. It's a Paul Prudhomme recipe.

I had to look up mirliton - which turns out to be a type of kazoo as well as a chayote! This looks delicious. What is the mirliton stuffed with?

Chopped up mirliton, the cajun trinity of onions, green bell, celery, garlic, a mix of cajun spices, lots of butter, some seafood/mirliton broth and bread crumbs. The mirliton halves are boiled in seafood stock, which you use to moisten the stuffing and as part of the butter cream sauce. This is not a low fat/calorie meal, just like most of his recipes.
