No photos this version yet, but because of the heat, or more accurately because in trying to avoid the heat, I have cooked my first meal of the New Year at 6:30am on the 1st. I actually opened a bottle of red wine before 7am!

So it's the cold soups range again, which will give it plenty of time to cool down for this evening. Red Cabbage, Beetroot, Carrot and Apple soup or more accurately called Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage Soup from the book Soups for all Seasons by Nava Atlas. Well its based on that soup, mine has beetroot added and I've removed the sugar, increased the red wine and apple cider vinegar and I'll add lemon juice at the end.

I'll add a new photo later, but this is the photo from the last time I made it.
