What did you cook or eat today (April 2025)?

Craig grudgingly cooked last night. It was that or eat a pimento cheese sandwich. Had to remind him that he grumbled about the last couple batches of Tovala meals we got and that I am not cooking every night, and, most of all, he chose the 2 meals he was going to cook when we made the grocery list. Surprisingly, he did a good job. Spaghetti sauce with Italian sausage and ground beef. There's enough for another meal since it was planned that way.

Big ol’ vegan salad.

There’s kale, cabbage, carrots, orange pepper, sauerkraut, chickpeas, walnuts, and avocado.

Do I win at being healthy?

I told the boys I was going on a smoker cooking day for Mother’s Day and as the youngest is in the midst of his finals that we’ll just skip it, no need for cards or going out for lunch etc.
They said they didn’t feel like they could do nothing so made me a decent sized jar of pesto.

I just had a store bought steak and cheese pie. Gotta have something in my guts cause I got pub with my mates in an hour. Tea likely a burger on way home

Before I went to bed I remembered the beef short ribs were on the last use by date so I opened them and they smelt on the edge of ok, you know that meaty smell that’s might just be a bit too meaty smelling.

Cos it’s 30 quids worth I bunged them in the slow cooker and decided I’d reassess in the morning. I’ve been lying here awake since 2am wondering if they’re ok or not, I might give up and go n see!

I think I have might have to stop overnight cooking!
