What did you cook or eat today (April 2025)?

I got a paid lunch today. It was all about service timings and I had to order more food than I could possibly eat so I've got dinner for later and breakfast out of the leftovers.

The chicken marsala was a bit too salty but still very good. The rest of the meal was delicious.

Dang that looks delicious. Calamari is one of those foods that are either great or simply ok. So if you find a place that is good. Stick to it.

I never liked calamari, thought they had the structure of rubber/elastc bands, till I got to Mozambique
I wouldn't have ordered calamari, but it was part of a fish platter.
Freshly caught, well prepared, they were absolutely delicious

I picked up a roll of beef , 3kg corned beef, 3 packs of bacon and 6 slices of ham from the butcher.
We had some ham in club Sammy's yesterday and I made ham salad and new potatoes. Still picking lettuce from our garden.

Yeah it looks exactly like that, gebraden gehakt is just meatloaf turned into a deli meat

Leftover sausage and homemade spaghetti sauce makes a great hoagie.

Then I turned leftover mushroom risotto into air fryer rice balls.

Dinner was pita bread, halloumi, falafel, homemade garlic sauce, and salad of grated carrots, red cabbage, pomegranate, cucumber and lettuce

Yesterday was fridge-cleaning.
Left over chickpea masala (Chole) with some Gujerati cabbage & carrots, and some beetroot pakoras, plus homemade mango chutney.
