What did you cook or eat today (April 2026)?

I do wish my oh could smell things better...

I'm on the phone, he's doing the veg for tea, the moussaka rolls and lasagne are in the oven. I'm expecting him to get them out negate i can smell them burning, but nope, he can't do doesn't. Grrr

This was the least burnt. View attachment 143390
Looks like me making brownies or fudge in that I have to eat the middle. The 'possums don't mind.

Sheet pan meal. Everything was roasted on a sheet pan. Italian sausage, red onion, fennel, fresh rosemary, with an orange juice, red wine vinegar dressing, with supremes.and fennel greens on top. An orzo pilaf with onion, celery, garlic and toasted pine nuts on the bottom.

I spent a good while making a quiche this afternoon; the idea being I was going to clean out the fridge.
Half an aubergine, sautéed and herbed, along with a stray courgette. Threw in some whole garlic cloves as well so they'd roast. Grilled a red pepper from the depths of the veg drawer, added a fried onion, some basil, more fresh herbs, and topped the whole thing with some mushrooms that were just hanging around.
Put the thing in the oven for 30 minutes, then got on the phone to my son in Atlanta.
60 minutes later...
Burnt quiche, anyone?
