What did you cook or eat today (April 2026)?

I tried to replicate something I ate while travelling recently, honey glazed pork belly with cranberry-peach chutney. This was the first chutney I've made. It's runnier than the restaurant version I had, probably because the recipe I used called for quite of bit of apple cider vinegar. Either way, very good!

Looks pretty good! All the chutneys I've made are mostly like the relish you get at the store except maybe for the size of the bits. I don't ever recall buying a chutney so I've no measure of a commercial product but they are tasty. karadekoolaid has around a dozen chutney recipes floating around here.

Chutney, relish - different names, basically same thing 🙂

Saturday night I made baked potatoes for dinner. With porterhouse steak and cauliflower cheese.
Shirl.said it was best meal for ages
I made a big batch of garlic sauce earlier.
It was delish.
Sunday we had a light meal as no family dinner. Kids are away. Poached eggs on toast with beans.
Wife's back at work today after school holidays.
Tea is undecided so far???
