What did you cook or eat today (February 2025)

Hot dogs, slaw (no pineapple for me, thank you very much!), Tots. Used the rest of the Hatch chile/apple chutney on 1 of my dogs, pretty good.

This afternoon was Mom's Beautification Day AND it's Taco Tuesday and you know what that means?

Those old school crunchy-corn taco shells filled with ground beef, shredded iceberg lettuce, an extremely small amount of diced tomatoes and loads of shredded cheddar cheese.
Mom and I get two each and a side of Guacamole - what ever falls out of the Taco back onto the plate then become an extra - Taco Salad! We're both stuffed!
Love this, as my Father would say, if it doesn't drip down your elbow, it's not a good Taco :laugh: I put like 4-5 napkins all over mom to protect her clothes, DH was no better, he utilized 3 napkins.
That adult beverage on the table is for MOI! granted, they usually only whisper Tequila over the glass, but its mandatory to have one.

Does boiling the sausage in beer impart much beer flavour? What kind of beer do you use? I've never tried that and I would have thought that the beer wouldn't be able to penetrate the skin (plus it would be a waste of beer which.. I just can't...).

But an (h)air-fried brat with a beer to wash it down - that's a thing round here. :)

We're tripping over then at the moment and for some reason hubby came home with 2 more commercial ones at the weekend. So we have 3 commercial cucumbers, a packet of qukes, and then there are 4 more huge cucumbers in the fridge fresh off the vine today along with another couple of weeks supply growing...
