This morning I had a fake McDonalds sausage and egg muffin!

Not the healthy of breakfast but it’s cold out at the moment so something warm was in order!

Lacto fermented onions!!! I can't wait for it to get warm here; nothing ferments well in the winter. By the time all the produce arrives from afar there's not much alive on it to start with except the bad bugs.

I looked up potjie and excluding the vinegar and cream it looks a lot like what we'd call stew over here.

I'm not much of a tomato soup person but if you made it from scratch i know its amazing. And that sandwich, oh hell yes!

Is it the taste of tomatoes you don't like? This soup is incredibly smooth, no sharp/acidic tomato taste at all.

Tomato soup never had enough texture for me. I like soups you kinda have to chew a bit.

Nope, that's usually the first "slice". Have to cut the teeth marks out though since that's evidence...

Potjie is a stew, but made over charcoal or wood fire in a cast iron pot with little legd
Never seen one with cream. And vinegar is normaly not used either
