What did you cook or eat today (January 2025)

Mr SSOAP and I flew on a plane last year that had ashtray in the arm rests. We stared at each other because we both thought BL**DY HELL HOW OLD IS THIS PLANE?
It’s not like you can check the number plate and read the last MOT report is it?!

I also thought it was really odd that they once had smoking areas on the planes with just curtained partitions, LOL. As if that really makes a difference! I also remember back when restaurants had smoking areas but there weren't any walls to separate the non-smoking area from the smoking area.

I had a small piece of leftover chicken marsala for breakfast. DH had leftover chilean seabass over pasta with 2 over-medium eggs on top.

Not sure what I am going to cook for dinner yet.

Here the smoking ban only came into effect in 2007 which in my old age seems relatively recent
Austria ignored it for another 10 years
Used to love going there and having a G&T n a smoke, felt extra naughty

I think there are some states in the US where they don't have a smoking ban still. I think California was well ahead on that. Ohio had one well before West Virginia did, and Florida was a little later as well. Hmm. I wonder about Mississippi and a few other places?

I think we are going to get in trouble here.

My son (who has cerebral palsy but the eating habits of Godzilla) absolutely loves brownies. And brownies are reasonably simple, so I ( not a baker) will have a lesser chance of screwing them up!

These are very ready to make, and you can't tell they have black beans in them.
