There's an apiary 12 miles down the road for our honey. It's right next to a huge strawberry farm so all of that is really local.

I have to drive 25 minutes for local honey but Aldi is 5 minutes. When I'm in the country I buy local.There's an apiary 12 miles down the road for our honey. It's right next to a huge strawberry farm so all of that is really local.

I made my 3 salads (mac, potato, and tomato). So dinner will be salads and maybe a hot dog or a TLT (yes it's TAYLOR ham (NO 'S)/pork roll, lettuce, and tomato) on toasted rye with mayo.

No, no, the lunch was paid for, but not by me!! I'd have to literally be starving to buy lunch on my own dime and it wouldn't be chicken tenders and fries, lol. And definitely no soft drink, I prefer water unless it's a required purchase to get a fountain drink.

Cooked 5 tomatoes down into some really tasty tomato paste. I don't know what that stuff is in a can but this IS tomatoes. Notice its not all oxidized dark/burnt colored??? Added a bulb of my homegrown garlic to boot.

Now I want Taylor's Ham (that's what DH calls it).
We were at the beach yesterday with DH's older sister, who still lives in Hawaii, and we started to talk about it ... UMMMM ... I made the mistake of saying that I can get it in Cowboyville Arizona ... "WHAT? And you didn't bring me any?"
Honestly, I didn't think about that ... next time!

AND, I don't fool around with my Taylor's Ham, I buy the one pound chub nd slice it up pretty thick, fry it up crisp on the outside and serve it up hot!

I know I've said this before ... the first time that DH took me "back east" to meet his family, I brought back a coupla chubs of Taylor's Ham for DH.
One morning I made Sunday Brunch for us two as well as my parents.
My Father tried it and proclaimed, "... this tastes like Spam."
I thought DH was going to blow a gasket!
