We have that here as well. Great comfort food. My grandmom (and my mom) also made it for us.

I like tuna out of a can but salmon I prefer fresh cooked filets. Well I like tuna filets, too, but salmon is generally less expensive.

I eat it out of a can and fresh too. No issues with canned protein here...

Food related I'm making Indian garam masala. Dry roasting spices. The house will smell heavenly for next hour or so.

Lazy supper here. I had half a jar of marinara sauce from a local manufacturer, so I took a small bag of hamburger meat and a link of Italian sausage and fried that up with diced mushrooms and onions, then added jarred sauce and some garlic, basil, fennel seeds, parsley, and oregano. Simmering on the stove now. I've got homemade sourdough fettuccine in the freezer I'll use. Shredded parmR and fresh basil to finish.
