More Petsian herb and bean stew. I am beginning to feel better as well.

Hubby had the day off today, I didn't. So a weekend lunch was had.

The stew had walnuts on it tonight.

Today I followed along this recipe which involved some sauces/condiments I didn't really use before in this dish (Golden Mountain seasoning and black bean paste) and they were an improvement. Also a garnish of chopped kaffir lime leaf, mint and Thai basil adorn it which I wouldn't have bothered with in the past, but it makes a lot of difference - when you close your eyes you can almost imagine being in Bangkok!

My wife said it's very nice so looks like she hasn't got tired of Thai food yet!

Mad a quick Mac and cheese and put some smoked pulled pork in there with some extra Tillimook cheddar, a touch of BBQ sauce and topped with blue agave sriracha.

Finnish Salmon groats (from Varusteleka) and Earl Grey tea on a hiking trip yesterday.

We finally have a warm spell, so tonight it was NY strips on the grill. We ate out in the sunshine on the patio, as well.

We had a big storm yesterday.
I decided on a quick bite and made a big sourdough pita and filled it with dry ham and pickles (carrot/daikon and gherkin)

I'll be making more pita bread
