What did you cook or eat today (March 2026)

I was left unsupervised for a while in a mall so ended up in two fast food restaurants:

Well the beans are only doing 6 portions, but there's tofu, carrot, aubergine, courgette (homegrown), yellow beans (homegrown, no Garden Bermius (Bermius brachycerus)), red pepper, a leek and whatever else I found, served with a no butter, no chicken masala sauce over brown jasmine rice.

My brother-in-law's family came from a village near Rome (to the south west, I think). They used to make a lasagna with little tiny meatballs, which took hours to make, but which was absolutely divine!

I love lasagna with mini meatballs, it is a classic tradition from the Central-South Italy. And yes making tiny meatballs can took a lifetime but once finished and eaten, oh well all that work pays off

Wondered where the meatball thing comes from. Popular this side of the world often rather than ragu type sauces I'm more used to - spaghetti and meatballs for eg.
