I figure I can try this out with mieliemeal.
What was your hydration?

I prefer way too much semolina's flour (durum wheat flour) for pizza and focaccia rather than the plain/all purpose one.
For 5–7 thin pizza tongues I've used:
500 g re-milled semolina
330–350 ml water (about 55–60% hydration)
plus olive oil (2 tbsp)
dry yeast (1gr)
10-12 gr fine salt

Sounds like 66-70% hydration to me :)
(Not counting the oil)

Mrs. GH and I went out for dinner at an upscale restaurant. We ordered a half dozen Well Fleet oysters for an appetizer (super briny and delicious), and then I had the steak and sea scallops, with lobster mac 'n cheese and roasted wild mushrooms with truffle butter. Mrs. GH had the same, but with shrimp and and scallops. Everything was fantastic! 😋

Reckon an ork would be pretty sinewy, would need a long cook.

Son is cooking us Chicken and Broccoli pesto pasta. He seems to be in a pretty foul mood so I’m not sure how that’s going to translate in the finished dish 😬

Edit - He did a pretty good job but he wasn’t happy. He has always made his own Pesto and it is unbelievably good, this was the first time he’d ever had pesto out of a jar, he was disappointed with it.

Because out of a jar is the only Pesto I ever had (before he started making it) it tasted great to me, but yer it would have been another level using his fresh pesto instead. Heyho lesson learned.

I hadn't actually cooked anything for myself until today, after at least a couple of weeks cooking for others and nibbling bits and pieces.
And things got worse, because I pulled out some salmon fillets from the freezer, with the intention of making some salmon fishcakes.
Enter Mrs KKA: "Oooh, what are you making with that? I quite fancy a bit of salmon with mashed potatoes!"

Today I have a couple of homemade British Faggots in a rich gravy! First time making them from scratch and they turned out really nice (even if I do say so myself)!

All that's missing are some carrots and mashed potatoes which go really well with this dish.

Thanks! All that time and effort of making the faggots and my first complement is the Bisto gravy that comes from a packet/tub where all I did was add some water and stirred!! 🤣🤣🤣

I think those faggots look superb! Love faggots...

So those are like pork, mostly, meatballs. They do look good and that gravy!!!
