What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

I made a BST last night for supper along with Ore Ida fast food frozen fries. The new toaster oven works great.
The S is slaw mix in place of lettuce. I've been using store bought slaw mix for any place I would normally use lettuce. Tacos, sandwiches, where ever. Even coleslaw, lol.
I have an easier time using that up instead of a head of iceberg or bag or romaine hearts before they start to wilt.

Yesterday I made the most amazingly scrumptious Carrot and Corriander soup - using a Pressure Cooker (Ninja Foodi in my case) has been a game changer taste wise - pressure cooking seems to lock all the flavour inside the vegetables (or meat) making the most delicious soups I have ever made!

I put my recipe on my personal blog in case anyone wants to see my methodology:

Same here, I love it. I have a delicious salad of celery and dates, but I can’t remember the dressing I used for it, so I haven’t made it in a while, but celery is sorely underused, IMO.

I couldn’t agree more, dunno why it is so underrated. It’s cheap, fresh, flavourful, rich in vitamins and supports digestive health.
I like your idea to combine it with dates!
Maybe it was a yogurt dressing? Or a lemon vinaigrette?

Looks delicious.

Sorry I know I have already asked what is Tasso, but I keep forgetting it 🙄
(Tasso in Italian is badger 🤭🫣)
From the recipe,

Tasso is spicy, cured and smoked slices of pork butt. It is an essential ingredient in Cajun cooking.

I guess you could consider tasso a badger in the sense of how spicy it is.
