Last night was fried pork chop on jasmine rice. Covered with cherry preserves warmed in lemon juice, red pepper flakes and olive oil.

Interesting! That's the first time I've seen a chop with cherry preserves, although I know pork goes very well with fruit like pineapple, apricots, apples, etc.

I got it from an internet presence that called herself Ol-blue. She had a lot of simple recipes that added something extra. A lot that worked well when camping, also.

Pear and Gorgonzola Risotto is quite common in Italy, especially in the North. Someone add walnuts as well.
I only added balsamic glaze for an unusual variation ☺️
Pear and Gorgonzola I’m familiar with but not in a risotto, better get myself to northern Italy! 😂

At the beach. Found a local place that got a trip advisor award last year. It was a dive. Good food. Large portions. Good service. Had a crawfish pasta that was very good. Wife and I should have split it. Sister in law got the fried shrimp dinner and couldn’t eat it all. Brother in law had the sword fish and he ate most of it but could not eat it all.

I made DH a crispy potato pancake topped with cheesesteak mixture and an egg for breakfast. He liked it a lot.

For "lunch" I had 6 wings and he had a cheeseburger and fries. I was disappointed with the wings. They now bread and fry them. They used to be slow roasted and flash fried to crisp up the skin, no breading, and doused in sauce. Ah well.

Bummer!
There used to be a deli by me that was open forever. And they breaded their wings. Worst wings I ever had. And I've had some pretty bad ones.
When they got new owners the first thing I asked them was if they used the same pizza recipe. They did not. Great pizza now.
And they have also bought into the local wings franchise that hasn't been around in years. Since one of the local bars closed. I don't even need to try those to know they are good. The wings had quite a reputation in my AO.

But I make my own anyway. So I guess I'm just blabbering, lol.

I'd rather roasted and flash fried too. When I think breading I'm leaning towards fried chicken like with parts that aren't wings!
