What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

I'm sucker for liver and onions and have often had ready meal versions. What brand is that?

It was surprisingly nice! Sometimes the liver can be a bit rubbery in a ready meal but the liver in this one was nice and tender.

Homemade French Onion Soup for me yesterday evening!

Never had it before (let alone make it from scratch) so no idea if it tastes like it's supposed to!!
Looks about right. Often the bread is toasted and added on top with Gruyere cheese melting over it.

Oh yes. I have had that one. Its not at all bad. Low calorie too at around 300 kcals for the whole meal.

I don't know that the bread is toasted, but I do know it's a dark bread.
At least what I've had.

Something I always wanted to make. I love French onion soup. I even bought the oven safe crocks years ago.

Moss’ Dakdoritang
The correct noodles didn’t turn up but no matter because I also got try for the first time the best gluten free ramen noodles ever made, it was a good combo.

This is my new favourite stew. Everyone really loved it, asked for it again soon and my son asked for the recipe.
They were very happy to hear theres a second lot ready for Thursday. Glad I froze that batch or they’d be in the fridge looking for it later on 😂

Well done! It looks great and I'm sure those noodles went well with it. Did anyone find it too spicy or it was OK?

Congrats - you are officially riding the Hallyu.

French onion soup is my favorite soup and I make it a couple of years. Of course, like everything else in life TMTOWTDI*, so I’ve seen it made with toasted bread and cheese on top, toasted croutons and cheese put in the bottom of the bowl first, cheese on top, toasted bread on the side, etc.

The first acronym I've seen that has more syllables than what it's short for. :D

Why thankyou. Happy to be on it 😊

While I put in the full amount of Gochujang in I dialed down rest of the chilli a wee bit but I think next time I’d go back up!
There’s something about the way the chilli works in it that’s better than normal chilli flavoured things. I think it was rounder? 🤷‍♀️
