What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

One of the apple fritters we got yesterday:

It’s fairly large - that’s a 9-inch paper plate.

It's what was on our table for supper... along with a small side salad of each diners choice as well as some Italian Bread from Walmart (really good bread!).
DH said that I shouldn't go to the trouble of making my own Meat Lasagna anymore, this is very good.
And coming from him, that's a mighty big compliment Trader Joe's!!

-edit - it says that this 2 pound box is four portions, they're not kidding!

I have never once been able to make frozen lasagna look even remotely like the picture on the box.

My wife's family originally came from the isle of Elba.
I would be sliced into small pieces and fed to the fish if I ever bought frozen lasagna.

The ones in the box picture are assembled layer-by-layer by food stylists. The closest you can get otherwise is to cut chilled squares of it, then microwave it on a plate; if you scoop hot lasagne out of a pan, you're not gonna get any even-sided shapes.
