You'll need:
  • 1 500 ml bottle
  • 80 ml water
  • 1/4 tsp ACV
  • 2 drops of dish soap
Cut the top off the bottle where it starts to narrow.

Put the top, upside down, in the bottle.

Add in your water, ACV, and dish soap. Swirl around to mix it up. The flies go in and when they get to the liquid the soap has changed the surface tension on the water and they can't get out. Sometimes, if my honey isn't rock solid, I'll add a bit to the water but the ACV is the attractant.

I keep mine on the sink window sill.

I laughed at myself this morning.
I had a load of things to do, and all before 12.
Made a long list of 20 items, then thought "right, let me just call the hardware place to get more cement, rebars, sand, etc."
Called the number on the invoice. It rang for a few minutes and no-one answered.
Then I realised I'd called my own number. :hyper: :hyper: :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
