Not a joke but our son lee he's 3 kids. The youngest is 11 he's jonty and as tall as Harry 2 years older ..so apparently jonty has a girlfriend and he got this card yesterday.. here it is.

Every morning when I get up, I know that there is a cup of coffee for me to have from my new coffee maker. It is just like a ray of sunshine in the morning, even though the weather o may not be all that great!!!!!! Gives me all the energy to start the day!!!!! I think I'll have another cuppa Joe with breakfast!!!!

I've made that mistake. That's about one thing that I hated about having an electric stove!!!!I So to get over that, I stay in front of the stove until the pan starts to get hot!!!!!

The power points here have an on/off switch on the wall and I've waited numerous times for water to boil before realising the socket was switched off.

Definitely not in the Netherlands where I grew up and I've never seen one in mainland Europe either

I've only ever seen those in the UK. No on/off switches here in Vzla.

Not really....
The wiring here was done by a properly qualified electrician, all connected to solar panels.
Here, Zimbabwe and UK have on/off switches on the wall. They use the same plugs as well.
A lot of other countries don't have those wall switches.

Darn, I thought you were special.
Not in the US, and it led to a funny little mishap when I first moved to the UK.
I was given a billeting room until I found a house, and it had a small fridge and kitchenette. I’d gone to the commissary and bought a few convenience items - cereal, milk, lunchmeat, cheese, bread, etc, and loaded up the fridge.
Next morning, went to have my cereal, milk was warm…lunchmeat was warm and rather sweaty…cheese was much softer than it should have been.
Reported having a bad fridge to the front desk… “Did you turn the outlet on?”
