We finally had a warm day! It hit almost 60F here, which felt like summer and so we took advantage of it with a day of "firsts" for the year;
* I went kayaking for the first this morning.
* Mrs. GH and I sat out on the back porch for the first, while I enjoyed a cigar for the first.
* I grilled burgers outside, which we ate outside for the first, as well.
* I even swapped my boots for flip-flips for the first, lol!

The man in the picture is international singing star and certified silver fox Kenny “The Gambler” Rogers.

One of his biggest hits was “Lucille,” which contained the tag lyric, “You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille…,” so it’s a play on the name Lucille - “You picked a fine time to leave me…loose seal.”

Another popular joke at the time the song was a hit went something like, “What did Kenny Rogers say when his car broke down?”

“You picked a fine time to leave me, loose wheel…”

I was at that party in that second photo. That’s the look I got when I asked that girl if she wanted to follow me around the back of the barn…and listen to me play my banjo.
