Did you see No Time To Die? Like most men, especially car guys, I am a Bond, James Bond addict. I prefer to see the movies on the big screen, so I haven't seen that one, yet.

Dog... caseydog.
Yes it was. No spoilers, but the DB5 used in it gets more abused than a DB5 should, so it's not a real one. Aston Martin built the chassis for the cars used in the film, and the specialist tool maker I use at work for our resin casting tools made the patterns for the DB5 body panels. AM took them a DB5, they 3D scanned it then used the data to machine blocks from PU board that a panel maker then used to make the aluminium skins. I saw the blocks being cut 4 years ago but at the time the tool maker couldn't say what they were for, they only told me a couple of weeks ago.

It’s opening here this week, my mate butcher asked if I want to go, I declined, haven’t been to the flicks for 20 years, last one was the murican porn star comedy. .?

I stopped going for a long time, I got fed up with the multiplexes with their constant smell of burnt popcorn and BO, sticky carpets and people who talked through the entire film.
Then an independent, art house cinema opened; a couple of screens, exhibition space and a nice little bar/cafe attached. It's the place where the grown ups go, no popcorn, you can take your glass of wine in, and everyone has manners. Obviously they don't have all the blockbusters, but they do get some really interesting smaller films.

Here the main cinema had premier lounge. Any age, but kids must be accompanied... the film age restrictions deal with that issue...
The waiting area has a bar. You're shown to a seat, given a menu and can have drinks & food to order during the show. All you say is roughly how far into the film you want them, ¼ ⅓, ½ way through etc and give your seat number, pay and the food and drinks are delivered to your seat during the film. No one minds in the slightest because the larger of the 2 theaters only seats 44. There are a maximum of 4 seats connected together, etc. The seats are all electric recliners with dedicated table and glass area between seats and a call button for assistance during the film (never seen it used).

We only go/ used to go once or twice a year as a treat but it is one of the few places I can sit in the chairs provided (with my bad back and hips) and not have to use my wheelchair. It's a fantastic place to retreat to on the days that are forecast to be above 40°C when we have no aircon at home.

They have them here as well, booze and food available, still won’t entice me. I’ll watch when it’s on Netflix. Incidentally I watched catch me if you can last night, true and amazing story. Great great movie.

An Aston Martin dealer was a customer of mine for a few years, so I have driven a bunch of them. The DBS didn't impress me. Now, the V12 Vantage was another story. OMG, that thing was fast. Almost scary fast. Imagine a big DBS engine in a small Vantage.

Edit: Oooooops, I read DBS instead of DB5.

Regarding Bond,am a huge fan of Bond movies. Sean Connery is my favourite. Daniel Craig is good. I heard the announcement on the radio, giving away tickets for a movie projection of the newest film in Zagreb and Split.

It seems to be way too loud for me at the movies, don't like the smell and lack of fresh air, although the chairs at the Multiplex cinemas are very comfy.

So,I will just wait for it online I guess. Or a summer open air projection.

My wife made me smile today. She just started the first Hallmark Christmas movie of the season, and a few minutes in, she said, "I've seen that woman somewhere..."

Then, a couple of minutes later, "That guy is really familiar, I think I've seen him in something else..."

Then Patrick Duffy showed up, complete with hep ponytail, and that's when I said, "Those people look familiar because we watched this last year."

One doesn't just forget Patrick Duffy in a ponytail.

So there´s an English language class going on.
Teacher: So who can tell me where the subject is in this sentence: " Although it is patently clear tht the current pandemic has hit us all hard, I am satisfied that I can live comfortably on my salary" ?
Student: In a mental institution.
