What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2026)?

That's to say a rooster that was despatched. Got a call this afternoon from a friend in the village who keeps chickens saying they'd had to get rid of a troublesome rooster and did I want it? Yes please!

Shopping trip yesterday as I ran low on quite a lot of produce and still forgot to buy some.
But I got
Onions
Cucumber
Forgot potatoes and tomatoes
Dog rice
Meat
Chickens (small whole frozen ones)
Beer
Wine
Forgot gin & tonic
Apples
Yoghurt
Pasta
Noodles
Sunflower oil

Loads of tomatoes to make kasundi.
Loads of mangoes to make mango chutney.
Then just as I'd finished the chutney, my mate turned up with another 7 kgs.
