What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2026)?

Went off to the 'local' harvest festival market this morning.

Restocked on some essential supplies.

Tomatillos, NewMex/Anaheim green chiles and jalapeños to make roasted tomatillo salsa for the barnyard egg people. I gave them a jar last week as a thank you for the eggs and they loved it. They picked up a big bag of coffee for us at Sam's yesterday and when I stopped by to pick it up and pay them they asked if I'd like to trade for some more salsa instead. No prob.

How much do those weigh??? I've never had turkey eggs!

They go from about 85g to 150g for the very big ones. About one and a half to twice the weight of a large chicken egg.

I had them once from the barnyard peeps last year. Pretty similar to chicken eggs - very slightly different flavour.
