Snacks over the Christmas period. This should be interesting.

I've started the day off with Polos. No I can't get them here in Australia but I get them sent over every three months with my medication.. So...

And I feel victim to a bottle of lucozade which can be purchased in Woollies but I needed the sugar because I was driving and being tired but the next service station (few and far between, rest areas where you bring your own picnic are far more common) was still half an hour away!

I ate two mince pies. This is very unusual for me but I succumbed to the the rich and fruity hit and the crumbly pastry. Oh dear! That was 440 cals!

Lucozade - haven't had that for over 50 years - memories !! Must admit neither of us really do 'snacks' but we do both go for a biscuit [cookie to you guys in the states] and a drink [tea/cocoa/milk] at bed time [sad isn't it ]

My MIL gifted me 6 large biscuits - very close approximation of the Greek almond shortbread, right down to being drowned in powdered sugar - bought from the supermarket but surprisingly good.

I have been having one a day with coffee at morning tea time. Very unusual for me.

I keep peppermints in the car too. The xxx strong ones with the chalky texture.

I asked my hubby to get some grapes for my salad lunches... He came home with these.

True. Unfortunately for me they're just as moreish. I love all jelly sweets. However, I do have some real jelly babies on standby for taking on long or challenging bike rides.

Are you looking for ones with a polished shell (kind of like tic tacs?) or the hardy chalky ones?
