What will you be watching on TV tonight (2025)?

`Member now, I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, USA and DH lived here for more than 40 years - there isn't much here I haven't seen or done.
We're here to visit with family/beach/food/see old friends/go listen to Hawaiian music - you get the idea... we're not tourist, we're returning Kama'aina

After living in Las Vegas I can relate to 'not liking' tourists... You're good. 👍

Yes, I know, I was referencing his whole persona with respect to the culinary world. He knows more than anyone else, just ask him…or not, and he’ll tell you anyway. :laugh:

I have never really paid any attention to him before. I saw him in a few movies (but of course he was in character) and he seemed okay. I will say he isn't terribly original or descriptive with his comments on what he is eating, LOL. Delicious, amazing, fantastic, outstanding, incredible, wow...

He had/has a YT channel…maybe it came out during Covid, idk…but he makes the most basic things there, which is fine, I love basic and I actually get quite annoyed with all the “take it up a level/a new spin on it” that permeates cooking videos (no one can just make a damn cheeseburger, it’s gotta be a “habanero-mango bison burger with ginger-daikon ketchup topped with fermented yak cheese on an ancient-grains loaf” - but I digress… :laugh: ), but his attitude when he makes something like penne with tomato sauce…it’s like he thinks he just saved your life, but it was no bother, because that’s the kinda guy he is, “I’m amazing, I know, but I’ve learned to live with it. Just one more thing I’ve mastered…being amazing and humble. 🤭

I’m a catty one today…meeeeeow! 😸
 
We started watching race across the world, not something we would normally bother with but after watching the celebrity series we decided to give this new series a try, watching on catch-up and actually enjoying it. No big egos, just normal people getting to know each other and themselves better.
