After living in Las Vegas I can relate to 'not liking' tourists... You're good.`Member now, I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, USA and DH lived here for more than 40 years - there isn't much here I haven't seen or done.
We're here to visit with family/beach/food/see old friends/go listen to Hawaiian music - you get the idea... we're not tourist, we're returning Kama'aina

I have never really paid any attention to him before. I saw him in a few movies (but of course he was in character) and he seemed okay. I will say he isn't terribly original or descriptive with his comments on what he is eating, LOL. He’s so passively-aggressively condescending…and now that I think about it, not just with food/drink.
He had/has a YT channel…maybe it came out during Covid, idk…but he makes the most basic things there, which is fine, I love basic and I actually get quite annoyed with all the “take it up a level/a new spin on it” that permeates cooking videos (no one can just make a damn cheeseburger, it’s gotta be a “habanero-mango bison burger with ginger-daikon ketchup topped with fermented yak cheese on an ancient-grains loaf” - but I digress…I have never really paid any attention to him before.
