What will you be watching on TV tonight (2025)?

the 1942 version of Cat People is on TCM in a little over an hour :)
I was hoping to see it again in close proximity to the newer one.

They've got them on Plex but you have to rent them.
Halloween I, II, and III (season of the witch, I don't think is really a sequel 🤷‍♀️) on AMC+
Lidia Poët and 2022’s Death on the Nile.
The original was better. I don't really like Kenneth Branagh's remakes of any Agatha Christie movies.

Nor do I. I generally don’t like when they take a classic book and then add all sorts of stuff to either flesh it out or make it more enticing to audiences or to just…sigh… “take it to the next level.”

The prelude about how he got his mustache…unnecessary. The bookends of the blues club…ridiculous, IMO.

There were some humorous bits, though, dealing with HP’s obsessive nature, but those are to be expected. I didn’t think any of the performances were all that good.

That said…we’ll be watching A Haunting in Venice sometime in the next couple of weeks. May as well!

It’s a remake of Hallowe’en Party.

The best thing about MOTOE was the cinematography, I think.
Never heard of it. I must look for it.

I did see A Haunting in Venice. Wasn't too impressed.

MOTOE - And the cast. IMO, Both were good.

Hallowe’en Party isn't even listed on IMDB. I like David Suchet.

Watching the original 1990 (the better version IMO) Stephen King's It. Loved the whole cast (young and old). Tim Curry was excellent.

I’ve not seen that. I love the original, but I know Stephen King hated it, but then I dislike his books, so I assume if he likes the a particular adaptation, it must be because it’s more like his books, therefore…I will not like it.

I’m a bit confused. Which one won’t you like? The newer remake?
