What will you be watching on TV tonight (2025)?

I'm watching the new version of The Magnificent Seven on Prime.
A newer generation of actors, some stars, some unheard of, foray into the world of Westerns. Well, Ethan Hawke has done a few. And actually makes a good cowboy IMO.

Lots of shoot em' up. Which I like because of picking out the various Western guns.
I've seen I think 3 of those if memory serves. Even have a few Ruger SA replicas that shoot the original .454 round. They kind of go ka-poof instead of bang. 😃

I have a bunch.
I like piecing together guns and holsters, and rifles, used in Western movies I like.
I surely wouldn't mind adding a Ruger SAA percussion to the mix. Even though it's sort of a black sheep.

I bought one of those about 45 years ago for $110 as a kit. You had to screw the handles on but since it wasn't an operable firearm it was easy to sell... At that time they sold another kit to make the percussion caps from beer cans and caps. Had to buy the handheld mold to make bullets...

I'm going OT so...

We also finished up Only Murders in the Building, or as I like to call it, The Lovely Mabel Show and Some Other People Who Just Get Get in My Way of Seeing the Lovely Mabel Show Show.

We watched the season finale also. The building is saved. Looks like we have another season.

I can't say about tonight, but at the moment it is a movie on Prime called The Breach.
Produced by Slash, Alex Lifeson just made an appearance (he wasn't bad at all), But this guy playing the lead is acting like he's emotionless. Granted, he's a sheriff/chief of police or whatever, but he's a stick in the mud.
Really makes you appreciate good acting and good movies in general.

But they hooked me and now I have to see what's going on with everything.

OK, time to hit Play again...

How did we ever watch TV w/out pause? 😁

I know darn well that's the reason I go through so many batteries in my remote.
And this from someone who wont watch a movie if it has commercials in it. I want to be in control of when I can look away

I've washed that movie out of my head already by following it up with The Broken Shore. Also on Prime.
I love Australian movies and this hits the mark. And it uses more 'first time hearing' words than I've seen used in all the Aussie/NZ movies I've seen prior. Which is a lot.

For instance, bickie. Actually, almond bickie. I've never heard bickie said in a movie before.
Now if someone uses it here I'll know what they are talking about

Darn good movie so far.

Mkr my kitchen rules.. yay the mouthy meat master is gone. His partner was so much better than him.

Took the pup out about 12:30AM, and was looking for something on youtube to fall asleep to, when I came upon Arlington Road.
I haven't seen that one in years. It was just as good the second time around. Very intense movie.
So now I'm wide awake...

We finished up Slow Horses - much like Only Murders in the Building, now feels like a good time to end it, as for me, this current adventure seemed more about “How many ways can we showcase Jackson Lamb hilariously insulting everyone?” and less about the story.
