We opted for four smaller beers (split between us) instead of our usual two liters. These two are Paulaner Hefeweizen and Paulaner Märzen:

First whiff when pouring this is an intense syrupy sweetness, that same sugary sense you get when opening a can of peaches in heavy syrup.
Imagine my surprise, though, when the initial sip revealed a pronounced undertone of sharp tartness. I fully expected to be overwhelmed with what I’d first detected, but this turned out to be wonderfully light and balanced.
