Earlier today. I find this helps get me over the hump some days. Called cafe corretto. A nice strong espresso with about a tablespoon of zambucca and a tsp of sugar. Nice med afternoon treat. Zing!

I don't understand this. A snowball to me is a cocktail of Advocaat and lemonade. This looks like tea? The biscuits...
Yes, that’s a cup of tea, and that biscuit/cookie is called a snowball. That’s just a made-up marketing name from the maker - note it’s a special holiday cookie, so it had to have a Christmassy name - powdered sugar…snow…that sort of thing.

Red from northern part of southern Rhone, just south of Montélimar, known for its dentist-loving confection, nougat. Mostly grenache with syrah, cinsault, mourvedre and carignan in various quantities allowed in the blend. Much like a good quality Cotes du Rhone Villages.
Almost always good quality and value because it is not a household name. In contention as one of the worlds clumsiest named appellations. It used to be called Coteaux du Tricastin but sales dropped off a cliff overnight 10+ years ago because of an 'incident' at the nearby nuclear facility. Local producers came up with the catchy GLA name and sales are now much improved - fickle lot we consumers are!
Whites also available, also good value, if you can find them.
£9-£10 - bargain.
 
This about sums up the alcohol in this house, minus the magnum of Belle Epoque champagne.

I have had a double of the 12yr old Redbreast Irish Whiskey two nights whilst hubby was away. Medicinal. I was going down with something, not sure what but it made sure I slept and the result is that whatever the issue was, is gone.

The Riverbourne identity whisky is a very local whisky, very nice but also very expensive.

I don't actually have any of my preferred Isle of Jura at the moment. It's very expensive over here, so I'll buy some more when we're in the UK in October.

The beer was bought for my 50th (the non-aussie non-NZ stuff) we're dining it sloooowly.
My favourite, after the Ola Dubh is the Dark Isle

These last 2 bottles were freebies from the hotel stay for my 50th. We were told that we were expected to empty the free bar fridge every day and it would be restocked. It was part of the bill!
