I made an Italian-inspired Lemon Drop this evening and DH took a BIG sip of just the Limoncello and just about DIED!

was so far THE best Lemon Drop I've made yet!
I don't care for the sugared rim so much, it makes for a sticky stem on the glass.
This was very lemon forward, which I really like.
No sweetener, so not to sugary, the Limoncello has enough sugar in it to carry the cocktail.
I think I'll be trying my hand again at homemade Limoncello.
I had made a batch with Everclear and Meyer Lemons back years ago, took it to my Mother's as a gift when she still lived in California, my younger sister and her dead-beat husband showed up and drank it all, THREE 18oz. bottles with the swing-top stopper... ALL OF IT!! In one night ...
